More of Thales Instruments

THALES has grown with its customers and their demands. In particular we have constantly developed the wind measurement field of business and recognised early on that our own production not only guarantees high quality but also leads to cost advantages which guarantee first class products at favourable prices to our customers. For years we have been producing our measurement masts in cooperation with a local engineering company with Thales employees involved in the production.

Our activity as equipment supplier for wind turbine and measurement mast equipment  includes data loggers, hazard beacons and different anemometers as well as all meteorological monitoring  and the storage and transfer of collected data. We have proved on different offshore measurement masts in the North Sea that our power supply systems, measuring devices and their cabling systems provide high reliable and accurate results even under extreme wind exploration conditions in the North Sea and Baltic Sea. Our strain gauge measurements for checking material mechanical loads have also proved to be effective on the steel constructions of these huge measurement masts. These results are now being taken into account with the construction of offshore foundations as well as with the designs of future measurement masts.

Today, the customers of THALES instruments GmbH include corporate groups from Acciona Energiaki SA to E.ON and GE Wind Energy GmbH to REpower Systems and Züblin Spezialtiefbau GmbH. Our specialists support customer projects with wind measurements in many European, American and Asian countries. Only few companies can demonstrate more experience in anything associated with wind than THALES instruments .

THALES – measurably better.
